Instructions:
For the chicken:
- In a large pot, add chicken, ginger, garlic, sesame oil, light soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, salt, and water. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low, cover pot, and simmer for 45-50 minutes, or until chicken is fully cooked.
- Remove chicken from pot and let cool slightly. Remove bones and shred chicken meat into bite-sized pieces.
- Strain chicken broth and reserve for cooking rice.
For the rice:
- In a large pot, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add ginger and garlic and sauté until fragrant.
